The buggy that started it all in 1984 never goes out of style, and JConcepts took a trip back to the golden years of RC racing. The Protector shares styling cues with the original RC10 and one of the most popular kit bodies ever. It's a CAD design, but its roots are in the 80s, with a rear-biased cab, a big rear transmission overhang and large rear windows. The body is set around the tub chassis, with careful attention to angles, height and transitions. It's one of the most retro bodies in the JConcepts lineup, with simple side pods that cover the aluminum tub chassis. Multiple side windows, including the vintage back window, stand out. The nose is feathered and chamfered on the sides to fit between the shock tower and sit just inside and on top of the nose brace tubes. A small flared section up front clears the button head screws on the tub sides and lines back up with the chassis front. Includes a 5.5" wing. Clear body shell only. Fits: Associated RC-10 original aluminum chassis.
