Tires flex, and flex means oversteer and inconsistent driving. JConcepts built these inner sidewall supports to firm up the sidewall. Glue them in, and the sidewall gets much harder, so you can carve smoother arcs and radius turns on the track. They're already proven in competition, working on glued, sealed or naturally grippy surfaces where traction rolling or oversteer is a problem. On rough, bumpy or dusty tracks, the extra support keeps the car driving smoother and more consistent. At the Southern Nationals, Spencer Rivkin and the JConcepts race team fit these into Reflex tires and landed a top podium spot. On the eroded, loose surface, the supports went only on the inside of the outer sidewall and were tack glued in place.
