Firestorm Racer monster truck tire, soft, in blue compound. There are a ton of tire combos in RC monster truck racing. Over the years the kings of the business tested tires as hard as off-road racers did. Staying true to traditional monster truck racing while coming up with fresh options takes real creativity. The Racer from JConcepts is a twist on the popular Firestorm, a new cutting-edge option. Scale monster truck tires used to get sliced and cut by hand, which could eat up to 40 hours per tire. The JConcepts Racer has those trimmed sections built into the RC tire pattern, with crisp chiseled carcass removal and heavily back-cut lugs. The sidewalls are chamfered to remove overhung tread, which makes a light design that carries through high-traction turns and helps quicken rotation. The Racers are crew-cut to keep performance where it counts while staying low-profile with a wide body base. The overlapping center tread gives a steady surface for smooth driving.
