Tusk 2.9" tire in green compound, built for the SCX6. JConcepts keeps muscling scale off-road parts into the market. The Tusk follows successful class 2 tires, but the team rebuilt the tread after a lot of driving, crawling and development time. The 7.13" sizing stays, so it's still a scale-based tire, but the tread layout got a full overhaul. The Tusk has an animal instinct as it moves over terrain with hefty lugs and sidewall support. The center starts with a V-shaped lug with steps out to the sides for extra grip, and the green compound flexes and contours to the ground. Large, staggered traction bars extend off the sides and keep the V pattern going. The shorter bars step in beside the center lug, and the longer ones fill a void underneath and meet near the center line. Sidewall lugs add pinch grip and gap crawling, and a small section of rubber is relieved for flex. Traction bars and lugs have relief cuts and slots on top to break up flat surfaces.
