The Tusk 2.2 has an animal-like instinct on the trail. The center starts with a V-shaped lug stepping out to the sides for added grip, and the green compound flexes and contours to the terrain. Large staggered traction bars run off the sides and continue the V pattern. The shorter bars step in with the center lug, and the longer ones fill the void underneath and meet near the centerline. The mirrored layout gives alternating rows a staggered height. JConcepts added sidewall lugs for pinch grip and gap crawling, and the sidewalls stay flexible. The traction bars and lugs have relieved cuts and slots on top, which add small edges for light dirt, dust and debris. The sidewall lettering is highly detailed, with the name, size and identification. The green compound flexes with the lug arrangement for a grippy feel, and the tire keeps its scale look.
