Back in 2013, JConcepts reinvented the bar tire with the Dirt Web tread for indoor off-road racing. Racers still talk about it. It was co-designed by Jason Ruona and Brian Kinwald. Bar tire racing has come on strong in Europe, where smooth, rubber or glue-impregnated surfaces make for fast, consistent racing. The Dirt Web 2 is the newer version, built with the team's lab work. Veterans will spot the 2013 lineage, along with upgrades in thickness, repeated sections and connecting bars. Spacing matters with bar tires, and the DW2 has an open section in the center for forward bite and room to open up on acceleration. The outer sections have a dense arrangement of Dirt Web connections for plenty of contact patch in high-speed corners. Smaller individual pins sit between the bars at a lower height, adding contact as the tire wears. FITS: 83mm 1/8th buggy wheel
