Kyosho's Optima Pro is back as the 15th model in the Vintage Series, 37 years after its 1987 debut. The Optima started in 1985 as a rear-motor 4WD buggy, with a ladder frame like the 2WD Scorpion but chain drive to the front wheels. This relaunch keeps the frame and drive system, but adds a slim aero body and underbody. The battery and steering servo move to new mounting positions to improve weight distribution and centralize heavy parts. Like other Vintage models, it keeps the original design with updates that match modern R/C systems and power sources. The frame is a traditional ladder tube type, paired with a belt-driven 4WD system.
