Kyosho's Plazma MKIII Limited returns in the Vintage Series, more than 30 years after its 1987 release. In the 1980s the 4WD Fantom EP ruled 1/12 electric on-road racing, but the rear-drive 2WD Plazma was its strongest rival. The MKIII Limited was the Plazma's final and ultimate model. This Alpha-2 2WD version keeps the original design with modern tweaks for current R/C systems and power sources. It shares parts with the Fantom EP-4WD Ext, and its simpler structure makes it lighter and faster than the Fantom on circuits with enough grip. Like the 1987 original, it has a carbon fiber main chassis. The upper plate and A-shaped joint bar, originally black composite fiberglass, are now carbon fiber too. The rear diff uses the high-performance ball-diff from the Fantom EP-4WD Ext (Kyosho 60th Anniversary).
