Hot Racing's clamp jig is built for one job: soldering RC connectors. It grabs, holds and releases them fast, so you keep both hands on the iron. It handles the usual suspects: XT60, T-Plug, TRA/TRX, EC-2 through EC-5, micro 2-pin to 4-pin, and bullet connectors from 2 to 6.5 mm. It doubles as a motor holder for both 5mm and 1/8 motor shafts. SOLDERING TIPS: Get the iron properly hot. Tin the wire and the connector pin with a good amount of solder. Set the wire and pin together and hit them with the hot tip until the solder flows. Pull the tip off the joint and let it cool. WARNING: Positive and negative wires touching means a short, and that is the worst thing that can happen here. Keep one wire properly insulated at all times, and only clamp one pin at a time from the same battery. WHAT YOU GET: One Hot Racing RC connector soldering clamp jig.
