About this part

Full hardened steel two-speed gear set from Hot Racing for the Traxxas Jato. The gears are CNC machined hardened steel and the differential caps are CNC machined aluminum with blue anodizing. It replaces the stock nylon gears and works on both the 2.5 and 3.3 Jato series.

You will receive

  • One (1) 38T differential gear with differential caps
  • One (1) 20T differential drive gear (SJT1000D20)
  • One (1) 1st speed 32T gear (SJT1000F32)
  • One (1) 1st speed 14T input gear (SJT1000F14)
  • One (1) 2nd speed 29T gear (SJT1000XF29)
  • One (1) 2nd speed 17T input gear (SJT1000S17)
  • Two (2) 2x10mm pins

Requirements

  • Removing stock nylon gear
  • Reuses existing differential internal spider gears, side gears and associated parts (5582, 5581, etc.)
  • Silicone differential fluid
  • Installation into vehicle
  • Light coating of grease on gears

Comments

  • Replacement M3x2x12mm screw shafts for the 17T and 14T gears are part RJT1000P.
  • Optional aluminum 17T gear is Hot Racing JT1000S17.
