Plastic Model Kit: U.S. Howitzer Motor Carriage M8, 1/48 - Tamiya

About this part

A 1/48 scale model of the 75mm Howitzer Motor Carriage M8, a self-propelled US howitzer from WWII. The M8 sat on the M5 Stuart chassis and carried an M116 howitzer in an M7 mount. About 1,800 rolled out between September 1942 and early 1944. They fought in Italy, Western Europe and the Pacific and backed US infantry until the war ended. This is a brand-new kit design built from research on the real vehicle. 1/48 scale plastic model kit. Length 92mm, width 48mm. Turret interior is detailed, including the main gun breech. The howitzer is covered by its distinctive sleeve. Assembly tracks have one-piece straight sections. Two marking options: the 106th Cavalry Reconnaissance Group in Germany, or the 758th Tank Battalion in Italy. Metal chassis weights for a realistic heavy feel. Comes with one full body commander figure. Fits general hobby plastic models.
