M36 Tank Destroyer, U.S. 1/35 Scale Plastic Model Kit - Tamiya

About this part

The open-topped tank killer. Tamiya first released this M36 in 1968 as a motorized single-motor kit. This version is rebuilt from the ground up with new tooling, except for the M2 machine gun and clear parts shared with other Tamiya WWII kits. The M10 with its 76.2mm gun couldn't stop Tigers and Panthers, so the M36 went on the M10A1 chassis with a 450hp gas engine, a new open turret and a 90mm gun. It first fired on the Franco-German border in October 1944 and kept going until Germany surrendered in May 1945. Over 1,000 were deployed across 21 battalions. 1/35 scale kit, length 216mm, width 88mm. Open turret shape based on extensive research of the real tank New parts except the M2 heavy machine gun and transparent parts Turret interior with 90mm breech and auxiliary machinery Realistic turret rear counterweight
