About this part

Hard-machined 45-tooth pinion in 48 pitch. It's a 5mm bore built for 1:10 electric trucks and buggies that need to take a beating. Hardened metal means it should outlast the cheap pinions under heavy load. Set screw in the box to clamp it to the shaft.
