About this part
16mm AE 5-hole Fat Boys, 2.7mm. This RC8B4.1 package includes 4 pistons: rear bevel pistons pre-drilled 3x1.5 and 2x1.7, fronts flats drilled 4x1.4 and 1x1.5 unless you request otherwise. The 2.7mm version is ultra thick, so the valving path is 2.7mm tall. That adds pack for hot weather and high grip. The outer height keeps the suspension from fluttering and packs without needing extra-thick oil. Thinner oil plus the extra height adds drag and makes the shock more consistent. The bottom is pocketed to fit standard shock shafts. For less grip, drill a second, larger 1.6mm hole in the rear pistons. HOT WEATHER (emulsion): Front: 40wt AE, 4x1.4 & 1x1.5mm Rear: 32.5wt AE, 3x1.5 & 2x1.7mm (3rd hole rear arm: use 35 for middle arm hole) COLD WEATHER (below 70F): Front: 37.5wt AE, 4x1.4 & 1x1.5 Rear: 30wt AE, 3x1.5 & 2x1.7mm FITS: Associated 1:8 RC8B4.X Nitro Associated 1:8 RC8B4.Xe Electric Associated RC-8T4 Associated RC-8T4e
