About this part
Skyline GT-R fans know the name. From 1969 into the early 1970s, the original racked up fifty straight wins in Japanese Touring Car races. The name then went to the R32, a Group A base machine with a 2.6 inline-6 twin turbo and 4WD. The R33 followed in 1995 with a larger body. The 1999 R34 went smaller and sturdier, with aerodynamics in mind. V-spec adds a two-level adjustable rear spoiler and front and rear diffusers that regulate airflow under the chassis. Speed comes from modified valve timing and turbocharging on a GETRAG 6-speed transmission-controlled engine, with electronically controlled front/rear power distribution 4WD.
